Excaloricate does not require account creation. We collect an anonymous device identifier to manage usage limits and provide the service. We do not collect names, emails, or personal information.
Food descriptions and photos you submit are sent to our AI provider (OpenAI) to estimate calories and macros. This data is processed transiently and not stored on our servers beyond what is necessary for rate limiting.
Your food log and settings are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to this data.
Subscription management is handled by RevenueCat. Payment processing is handled by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play). We do not store payment information.
Your food log is stored locally on your device and is never uploaded to our servers — you can erase it at any time by tapping the delete button in the app's Settings screen, or by uninstalling the app. On our servers we only keep the anonymous device identifier and rate-limit counters required to operate the service; these are retained for up to 30 days and then deleted automatically. Food descriptions and photos sent to OpenAI for estimation are processed transiently and not retained by us. To request deletion of any server-side data associated with your device, email [email protected] from the same device and we will erase it within 30 days.
